Kermit’s Parrot Tricks: Waving Hello

The third portion of the refresher course that I had worked with Kermit, involving him to perform the basic trick: “Waving Hello” with his right foot upon vocal cues.

Kermit was able to wave with his right foot upon my vocal cues, his performance for the day was excellent. Like the earlier session, Kermit surprised me with his vocal talents. He said out his name again at the 0:11 seconds.

Kermit’s Parrot Tricks: Handshaking

Kermit’s Parrot Tricks: Turn-a-Round

After months of busy hectic project schedules and overcoming the difficult period of the lost of Kiki, Kermit and I are certain we have to take the step to our future and working on our brand new phase in life.

After a long break, I decided to work with Kermit on the basic tricks that he had learned. Apparently he has never forgotten any of them and his performance has been top notch. Below was the video of Kermit performing the “Turn-a-Round” upon vocal cue.

Surprisingly, Kermit said aloud his name at the 0:34 seconds!

Kermit’s Cup Stacking Trick

It’s been quite awhile, I haven’t been updating progress of Kermit, my Senegal Parrot. Many readers had shown concern about Kermit and wanted to know how he’s doing now. He is doing perfectly fine, just that I have been busy over work and some household issues, thus can’t bring the latest updates of Kermit on time.

For the past few days, I have been trying very hard to shape Kermit to perform a new trick. I will say it’s not a new trick shown in Bryan’s Angels, as you might have already seen Kiki, my missing lovebird performing the trick months back.

Kermit’s Basketball Trick Training

After 2 weeks of training, with a 5 minutes short training session daily, I managed to get Kermit to perform the Basketball Trick. I’m really glad that Kermit finally made it, despite he took a long while to understand and meeting the objective.

Kiki’s Pull a Car Trick at The Best Trick Competition

Don’t worry if you missed Kiki’s performance at The Best Trick Competition, one of the segment in the National Day Parakeet Competition 2008 held at Lim Chu Kang, Farmart.

Kiki’s Tunnel Trick

Back to the basics again. This round no fancy props, but common empty paper towel roller that can be found in almost every household. So what Kiki going to perform this time with the empty roller?

Just like what the title says, it’s her own Tunnel Trick. A relatively simple trick, but interesting and fun trick that able to kill any boredom and motivating her to continue to learn new things.

Kermit’s Somersault Trick

I’m back again to share with everyone a new trick from Kermit. I’m proud to present to everyone Kermit’s very own Somersault Trick.

As Senegal Parrots are very acrobatic by nature, thus the trick shouldn’t post much difficulty to these african queens. Kermit learned the trick almost instantly.
